Fredericksburg orthodontics specialists from Cox Family Dentistry & Orthodontics are committed to your best smile yet. If you’re thinking about having your teeth straightened, consider scheduling a consultation with our staff to discuss options. Innovative, clear braces called Invisalign are quickly becoming the most preferred way to straighten teeth without metal wires and brackets.
A Clear Choice
There’s a reason why more and more patients are looking to Invisalign when thinking about braces. The clear aligner system offers numerous advantages over traditional metal braces:
Removable. Both teens and adults love that Invisalign clear aligners are removable for up to 2 hours every day. Patients must wear the aligners for a minimum of 22 hours every day- they can be taken out for brushing, flossing, eating, and up-close moments, such as public speaking, encounters with friends, or for any other reason.
Invisalign is Fredericksburg Orthodontics’ Best Kept Secret
No one but your closest friends and family will know you’re having your teeth straightened- and very often, even friends don’t suspect you’re wearing the clear aligners. Since the aligners are nearly undetectable, patients experience a much higher level of confidence when smiling. Participate in all of your favorite activities, from sports to work without worrying about Invisalign getting in your way or drawing attention to you.
Not Just For Teens
As the benefits of Invisalign become more evident, the percentage of adults who are aged 20-60 continues to grow. Today, adults make up roughly 20% of orthodontic patients. Patients of every age agree that Invisalign is the simplest, least-intrusive way to straighten teeth.
How it Works
Our Fredericksburg Orthodontics team will assess your smile and let you know if you’re a candidate for Invisalign. If you are, we’ll custom fabricate a series of clear aligners. During your visits, the comfortable aligners will be snugly fitted over your teeth and will begin to move them over the months gently. About every other week, we'll provide you with a new aligner that will improve your smile over the course of the treatment plan. You’ll spend less time in our office and less time waiting for the beautiful smile you’ve been dreaming about.
Early Orthodontics is Key
Only an examination can confirm whether you or your child requires orthodontic care. If you suspect a malocclusion (bad bite) or another issue, call us to schedule a consultation with our staff. We can confirm your suspicions with a simple assessment. Snoring and mouth breathing are two common signs that orthodontic treatment may be needed. A few additional indicators are chewing and biting problems, crowded teeth, crooked teeth, teeth that do not meet well, teeth grinding, or jaw clicking.
We warmly welcome new patients into our practice. Our caring, compassionate staff at Cox Family Dentistry & Orthodontics is always excited to see new faces walk into our office. If you’d like to discuss the possibility of being fitted with braces with our staff, schedule an appointment by calling our office at the new patient number or reach out to us through our website.
